About Treatment Resources for Youth
Treatment Resources for Youth (TRY) is a Baltimore-based outpatient substance use treatment program serving adolescents and emerging adults.
TRY offers counseling using approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention planning to treat drug and alcohol addiction.
The program is built around the unique needs of young people meeting youth and their families where they are to support lasting recovery.
Youth-Focused Addiction Treatment
TRY specializes in addiction treatment for adolescents ages 11 to 17 and emerging adults ages 18 to 24 with programming that also serves adult men, women and DUI/DWI clients.
The program provides both intensive outpatient and general outpatient care beginning with an assessment to guide individualized treatment planning.
In treatment, clients work through methods such as motivational interviewing, contingency management, anger management and trauma-related counseling.
Sessions address the root causes of substance use while building practical coping and relapse prevention skills.
Family-Inclusive Care
TRY pairs individual and group counseling with family counseling recognizing how important family support can be in adolescent recovery.
The intensive outpatient model also incorporates life-enrichment courses and job skills development giving young people practical tools to rebuild their futures alongside their sobriety.
