About Friends of the Haven
Friends of the Haven is a Denver-based nonprofit that supports and advocates for women in recovery including those who are alone, pregnant or caring for infant children.
Through The Haven and Baby Haven programs it backs residential and outpatient substance use treatment, mental health care and co-occurring disorder support for women across Colorado.
Built around a two-generation recovery model the organization is dedicated to helping mothers and their children heal and grow together.
Recovery for Mothers and Infants
The Haven offers residential substance use treatment for women with a unique model that allows mothers to live alongside their infants during care.
Its Reflections for Women program provides shorter-term residential stays of up to 90 days blending trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment with hands-on parenting support.
Care includes individual and family counseling, pregnancy and postpartum support, medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric services and case management.
This holistic approach addresses not only substance recovery but also mental health, social functioning, vocational skills and lasting family stability.
Transitional Support and Childcare
The Baby Haven Early Childhood Education Center provides childcare and developmental learning for the children of women in treatment.
By keeping mothers and children together the program strengthens family bonds while supporting recovery outcomes for both generations.
Transitional living and continuation of care through outpatient services help women maintain progress after their stay.
