About Tangu Counseling and Treatment Services
Tangu Counseling and Treatment Services is an outpatient addiction treatment center in Atlanta, Georgia serving adults in recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Since 1994, the center has offered a full continuum of outpatient care, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and standard outpatient services with optional structured housing for clients enrolled in treatment. Tangu uses trauma informed therapies and emphasizes ethical care in partnership with clients and their families.
Outpatient Treatment Programs
Clients typically begin with an assessment to determine the appropriate level of care. Tangu offers partial hospitalization for those needing higher structure, intensive outpatient with daytime and evening tracks to accommodate work or family responsibilities and outpatient counseling for ongoing support as clients step down or continue maintenance.
Treatment includes individual and group therapy, medication management and medication assisted treatment when appropriate. Relapse prevention, trauma focused care and support for anxiety and PTSD, depression and mood disorders are central to programming, and clients work with licensed clinicians to build personalized recovery plans.
