Southcentral Foundation Dena Coy

Dena A Coy is a Southcentral Foundation residential treatment program in Anchorage, Alaska serving Alaska Native and American Indian women ages 18 and older.

The program supports pregnant, parenting and non parenting women facing alcohol and drug problems alongside emotional or psychological concerns through substance use treatment and mental health counseling, case management and group programming.

As part of an Alaska Native nonprofit healthcare system, Dena A Coy offers a women centered space where recovery and family can grow together.

Residential Recovery for Women

At the heart of Dena A Coy is a mother and child residential model, where eligible children from birth through age 3 may be considered for admission with their mothers.

On site child care during scheduled programming and child ready rooms with cribs and changing tables help women pursue recovery without automatically separating them from their little ones.

Treatment is clinically driven, with an average stay of roughly 90 to 120 days that begins with an orientation phase after a comprehensive assessment.

Residents work through individual and group counseling covering relapse prevention, life skills, parenting and health and wellness, plus 12 step and alternative recovery support meetings.

Whole Person Healing

Beyond substance use, the program addresses parenting, domestic violence and trauma, anger and relationships, anxiety and depression.

Group sessions and case management build practical, family oriented skills that support lasting community recovery.
