About Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital Inpatient
Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital is an inpatient addiction and mental health treatment center in Tucson, Arizona. The center provides care for children, adolescents, adults and veterans.
Guided by a multidisciplinary clinical team, Sonora delivers person-centered care designed to support patients in acute crisis and guide them toward sustained recovery.
Medically Assisted Detox
Care often begins with a psychiatric and medical assessment, followed by medically assisted detox for those managing chemical dependence.
From there, patients may transition into inpatient hospitalization with adult stays averaging approximately eight days before stepping down into one of the outpatient programs.
While in detox guests have a secure setting to focus on healing without the usual distractions that can hinder treatment.
Family Involvement and Discharge Planning
Patients can expect group therapy, medication management, family meetings, and discharge planning along with therapeutic approaches such as DBT, CBT-informed groups, motivational interviewing, 12-Step work, and expressive art and recreational therapies.
These combined services provide relationship restoration, relapse prevention planning and holistic avenues for recovery.
Co-occurring disorders are treated throughout the continuum to help guests have a greater chance at lasting sobriety after treatment.
