How long do most residents stay at Skyland Ranch?
This is sober living with an open-ended stay. Most men remain somewhere between 6 and 18 months. The length is not a fixed course, and that span is what most residents do. Long-term living on a working ranch is the setting.
Who can live at the ranch?
Men only, ages 18 and older, who are stable and ready for sober living. A resident might already have medical providers and counselors elsewhere, and use the ranch as a steady base while that outside care goes on. The ranch takes men only.
How is the cost of a stay set?
A sliding scale based on circumstance sets the amount. The amount can change with the situation, so residents may not face the same figure. Circumstance is what the ranch uses to set it.
What is the setting like, and how do you get there?
The land covers 140 acres and more, set in the Cascade foothills, with pasture, forest, and trails along the Skykomish River. It is 45 minutes from Seattle, and transport from SeaTac can be coordinated. Residents share a wood-beamed lodge above the river, and days include grooming and groundwork with the horses.
