About Sierra Native Alliance
Sierra Native Alliance is a DHCS licensed, 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Auburn, California offering certified outpatient substance use treatment for the Placer County community.
The program provides regular outpatient and intensive outpatient care, individual and group counseling, and family support for adolescents and adults, older adults and veterans, LGBTQ+ clients and those with co-occurring disorders.
Rooted in Native wellness traditions, SNA helps individuals and families heal the social, emotional and cultural effects of substance use.
Culturally Grounded Outpatient Recovery
SNA's core strength is culturally relevant substance use treatment built around the White Bison Program and Native Matrix Group.
Certified outpatient services blend clinical care with Traditional Indian Health approaches, connecting recovery to cultural identity and family healing.
Treatment draws on evidence based methods like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and the Matrix Model, alongside relapse prevention, anger management and trauma related counseling.
Sessions consider each person's individual, cultural and historical experiences, addressing root causes while supporting a clean and sober lifestyle.
Recovery oriented groups include White Bison and Native Matrix, Family Group and Relapse Prevention.
Family Centered Care
SNA extends beyond counseling with a family wellness model that includes parent education, violence prevention programming and Native family advocacy.
Recovery support services cover case management, peer coaching and mentoring, housing assistance, discharge planning and follow up after treatment.
Oral naltrexone is available, and clients using medication assisted treatment prescribed elsewhere are welcome.
Getting Connected
SNA provides in person care at its Auburn location on Auburn Ravine Road, along with telehealth therapy and transportation assistance for the surrounding community.
Payment options include federal or government funding, self payment and an income based sliding fee scale.
