About ShareHouse Fargo
ShareHouse Fargo, located in Fargo, North Dakota, is a residential addiction treatment center helping adult men and women recover from substance use disorders (SUDs). Opioids are the leading cause of unintentional overdose deaths in Fargo. They provide treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD), but also help people facing alcohol, meth, or other substance addictions take steps toward healing and long-term recovery.
Helping the Community for 50 Years
In 1975, a small halfway house with just six beds opened in Fargo as a response to a growing need for recovery support in North Dakota. What started as a grassroots effort has become one of the region’s most trusted programs for addiction treatment and dual diagnosis care.
Today, the focus is still on personalized residential care, but services have grown to include outpatient treatment and telehealth. Outpatient options are available at another one of their locations.
What to Expect When You Begin Treatment
Every client goes through an assessment to determine whether residential treatment is the best option. Once you make that decision, you’ll move into a furnished apartment, which you’ll share with up to four other clients. Housing is gender specific.
Treatment University is the name of the residential program. Your days will follow a routine, but that routine is personalized to fit your needs. Your care team will include a case manager and a licensed addiction counselor.
There’s a mix of individual counseling and group support, although most of your counseling will take place in the group setting. Beyond the required 12 Step groups, you’ll have access to several other types of recovery groups that focus on topics like spirituality and sober recreation.
Most people use insurance to cover the cost. Payment options include private plans, PMAPs and tribal insurance.
Supporting Recovery Through the Legal System
Not every treatment center helps people caught in the legal system. This one provides a full range of care, including residential treatment through their Drug Court program. Payment for this program is through Drug Court funding.
ShareHouse makes getting help feel less overwhelming. They combine structure, support and genuine compassion to create a positive recovery experience.
