About Serenity Lane Residential Treatment
Serenity Lane is a substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment organization with facilities throughout Oregon. The inpatient treatment facility is in Coburn and offers medical detox and SUD treatment.
First Responder Addiction Treatment in Oregon
One of the great things about this program is the treatment services for first responders. First responders include active military or Veterans, firefighters, police officers, and EMTs. Anyone in a profession where they experience trauma at an increased frequency greater than the general population is considered a first responder.
The program provides group and clinical therapy that addresses the unique needs of those in this community with an SUD. Many first responders have co-occurring mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The program ensures treatment for these issues as well.
The program assists first responders in finding better, healthier ways to cope with stress and trauma that don’t include the use of substances. Many patients may be afraid of losing their jobs if they own up to mental health or addiction issues. The program provides anonymity and a place to work through issues free from judgment.
Holistic Healing Methods To Support Recovery
The treatment team believes in the power of holistic methods of healing. You’ll have the opportunity to take meditative walks or play a game of pickup basketball. The staff encourages an active lifestyle, and you can take advantage of the indoor fitness center.
They have a special trauma informed yoga teacher on staff who is also the wellness facilitator. Additionally, she’s trained and certified in neuro meditation through the NeuroMeditation Institute in Eugene.
