About Prototypes – Oxnard Women’s Center
Prototypes of Health Right 360 is in a secluded suburban corner of Oxnard, California. It’s a parent program for women and their children who’ve been impacted by substance use, mental illness, and domestic violence. Services and treatments can be online virtually, at home, at school, in the community, or in the Prototypes office.
The center accepts families with Medi-Cal and families who are uninsured. They are licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services, accredited by CARF, and are a member of CAADPE.
Treatments and Therapies for Addiction
Treatment is available for substance use, anger management, and co-occurring disorders. There’s also an ambulatory detox program. The center is an outpatient clinic that is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Dyadic developmental psychotherapy treats emotional trauma and focuses on the relationship between mother and child to promote a healthy attachment. Mothers are coached for refinement of their parenting skills.
Occupational therapy uses daily activities to treat mental illness. Mothers in need of medication to reduce symptoms and cravings can receive medication assisted treatment.
Other therapies used include child parent psychotherapy, managing and adapting practice, seeking safety, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. The center treats ages zero to 25 and families.
You’ll participate in parenting groups and learn techniques of infant massage. The clinic can help you find community resources and life skills workshops to help with housing or employment. Your case manager will advocate for you as a parent.
Funding Through Merchandise Sells
The center is partially funded through products they sell. This includes shirts that state “Be kind to drug users” and “Resilient.” Also available are jackets, hoodies, pullovers, polos, sweatshirts, tote bags, and industrial work shirts.
