About Oaks Recovery
Oaks Recovery prides itself on their nonprofit addiction recovery help for individuals who are struggling with drug and alcohol addictions. They were founded in 2015, making them a fairly new clinic, but they certainly have established themselves in the community as a strong contender for your recovery.
Their programs are rooted in the 12 step philosophy but also have a unique sense of accountability, spiritual growth, and long term stability. Setting up a peer-based culture is very important to them, and it shows.
Short Term and Long Term Residential Rehab
They offer both short term and long term residential programs, which are also gender specific. Their short term intensive program is 42 days long and can help you build recovery habits through one on one recovery coaching and group therapy. Their long term intensive program lasts for 120 days, and it's for those people who require more time. They also offer transitional living for up to 9 months. This comes along once you've finished their core program.
Spiritually Focused Recovery That Feels Like Home
One thing I found that makes them unique is their non-clinical setting. This is not a medical facility and does not come off that way by any means. People who stay there get a sense that they are really at home. There's no detox that is provided on site and everything is kept very natural and homelike.
While they don't push a specific religion, they are big on spiritual growth and give you the option to make that a part of your programming if you so choose. Some of the structure you would encounter involves morning meditations, getting chores done, attending recovery meetings, looking into work opportunities, and even having some recreational time.
They also let you express yourself creatively and take fitness seriously. They offer exercise equipment, art supplies, sports courts, and outdoor spaces so that you can express yourself.
