New Beginnings North is an addiction treatment facility for men in Chicago, Illinois. Since 2017, they have provided programs and services for residents of Cook County who are struggling with mental health or substance use disorders. This 6000 sq ft sober living home can hold up to 23 men at a time. The facility does not accept insurance plans but offers financial assistance to cover the cost of treatment, which is $875 for the first month and $325 per week thereafter.
Sober Living for Men in Chicago
Their sober living home provides luxurious semi-private rooms with queen sized beds and shared marble and granite-finished bathrooms. Shared areas include multiple living rooms with fireplaces, recreational areas to focus on physical well being and outdoor spaces for relaxation and group gatherings. The entire home has access to a fully-stocked kitchen, multiple televisions and internet access to stay connected with family during treatment.
A typical day at the facility starts with breakfast and morning chores followed by morning meetings and check-in. During the afternoon, residents are required to attend individual therapy or counseling sessions, educational/work programs and 12 Step meetings. Evening is typically reserved for dinner and downtime.

Long-term sobriety requires aftercare resources which is why New Beginnings North offers relapse prevention education, life skills coaching, assistance with employment or education and transitions planning courses. A unique aspect of this facility is their post-residence support which encourages former residents to check-in and continue treatment if needed as well as possibly becoming a mentor for current patients.
