About MARR Men’s Recovery Center
The MARR Addiction Treatment Center Men's Recovery Program operates in the suburban community of Doraville just a short drive north of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. This organization specializes in helping adults who have hit rock bottom because of their substance use disorder. They do this through gender separated, immersive therapy treatment programs.
Their men's recovery program provides a healing and supportive place for you to begin your recovery journey. Both residential and outpatient services are available through the men's recovery program.
Structured Recovery Process in Phases
Evidence based practices are at the heart of the recovery program here, but you'll find their approach helps you build your sense of self, motivates you to succeed, and empowers you to develop recovery and life skills that will help you in the next chapter of your life.
The residential program consists of four phases. The first is their "Feelings School," a six week process that includes immersive therapy and building a strong support network. You'll be expected to complete 30 hours of clinical treatment per week in this home like recovery environment, including psychoeducation and group therapy.
Next, you'll move into the eight week “Skills Application Phase.” Clinical treatment hours decrease to 15 per week, and you'll focus heavily on skills development, relapse prevention planning, rebuilding relationships through family counseling, and even seeking gainful employment.
Finally, you'll graduate to their “Sober Living Phase” which lasts 12 weeks and allows you to practice independent living while applying the skills you've learned.
You'll continue counseling, but it becomes more individualized, though group counseling sessions will still be available.
