MARR Addiction Treatment Centers

Men and women aren't treated at the same center. MARR Addiction Treatment Centers is a residential rehab center in Doraville, Georgia. Recreational therapy uses a camp on Lake Allatoona.

The centers admit adults, and the women's program is for adult women with a substance use disorder as the primary diagnosis.

How long is residential treatment?

The first phase at MARR runs six weeks, and staff monitor clients around the clock. You're on site overnight for those weeks rather than going home each evening. A sober living phase then runs 12 weeks or longer, while clients work part-time in the community.

A 12-Step meeting, a peer recovery group, is required each week, and so is work with a sponsor. After those phases, aftercare keeps going through a group, a Spiritual Life Group and volunteer work. Aftercare length is set case by case.

What hours do PHP and IOP take?

MARR offers partial hospitalization, daytime treatment that doesn't include an overnight stay, at 30 hours each week. A psychiatric evaluation and medication management are included. Intensive outpatient is 16 hours of treatment each week, with planning to prevent relapse.
