They provide several outpatient substance use treatment programs, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and general outpatient care. Outpatient Treatment for Addiction and Dual Diagnosis

The Atlanta Recovery Place offers treatment for substance use disorders and co occurring mental health diagnoses. These are addressed through individual and group counseling as well as family therapy.

The PHP is a structured program that provides treatment five days a week. Meanwhile, the IOP is the next step down at three days a week, so many clients progress from the PHP to the IOP as they grow in their sobriety and don’t need as much support.

A therapist may guide your art or music experience or you might simply express what you’re feeling at that moment. Either way, it’s a great way to reduce stress and share deep feelings.

Atlanta Recovery Place also has animal assisted therapy available for clients. Working with specially trained dogs, horses or other animals has been shown to help those in treatment manage stress, cultivate empathy and feel safer in the treatment environment.
