Stepping Stones is a program of Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (LMEP) which provides substance use evaluation, counseling and treatment in Lincoln, Nebraska. The program offers proven modalities for adults and youth ages 5 and up. Stepping Stones is committed to reducing barriers to care and expanding access to supportive resources regardless of ability to pay.
Outpatient Substance Use Counseling
Stepping Stones specializes in outpatient substance abuse evaluation and counseling as part of a larger healthcare organization. The program serves both adults and youth, offering assessments and individualized treatment planning to support recovery goals.
Sessions incorporate Motivational Interviewing, cognitive behavioral tools and mindfulness-based strategies to address substance use patterns and build coping skills. Treatment focuses on uncovering underlying triggers while equipping clients with practical techniques for lasting change, meeting each person where they are in their recovery journey.
Trauma-Informed Care for Co-Occurring Concerns
Beyond substance use, Stepping Stones addresses co-occurring behavioral health issues including trauma, depression, anxiety,and grief. Clinicians use trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR, DBT and ACT to treat the whole person and support healing from multiple challenges that often accompany addiction.
Stepping Stones serves clients in person and via secure telehealth for added convenience and accessibility.
