Lakeside Milam Recovery Centers Kirkland Inpatient Treatment in Kirkland, Washington, is a residential intensive inpatient facility for adolescents, women, and men. The facility is CARF accredited, is an NAATP Provider member, and is a FoRSE Data Site.

Biopsychosocial Assessment and Detoxification

The biopsychosocial assessment determines the biological, psychological, and social elements of substance use. This is an hour-long process that determines the type of treatment you need.
Many clients begin treatment with medication assisted detox. The detox program lasts two to five days before the client is moved to residential treatment.

Residential Treatment for Substance Use Disorder

Residential treatment will follow your individual treatment plan. The plan will likely include lectures, counseling and reading assignments. Nutritional and physical therapy help counteract damage caused by substance use. Relaxation and stress management techniques will reduce cravings.

You will have the opportunity to use onsite recreational facilities. Yoga, meditation, wellness lessons and walking trails are therapeutic ways to relieve stress. Vaping and smoking are allowed in designated areas.

Group counseling allows clients to share, receive feedback and provide encouragement. Patients are introduced to the 12 Steps and are encouraged to participate in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous or Cocaine Anonymous.

Your family will be able to participate in your recovery through lectures and group discussions. Here they will learn about the disease of substance use and how it impacts them. They will also learn how to support you in your recovery.

Your case manager will be in charge of your mobile phone. You will have allotted hours to email, text, call, and FaceTime family and friends. After treatment is completed, you will be referred to the Kirkland Outpatient facility for outpatient treatment.
