About JADE Wellness Center Southside
Nicknamed “Steel City,” Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is home to JADE Wellness Center Southside. Established in 2010, they provide various outpatient programs and recovery housing for adults battling addiction and dual diagnosis.
Family Owned Facility
What stands out most to me is that they’re a family owned treatment center. You can access compassionate care from professionals with personal addiction experience. You'll benefit from ongoing support and guidance from individuals who deeply understand substance abuse and can resonate with your experiences.
Medicated Assisted Treatment
Another great feature I noticed was that they offer medication assisted treatment (MAT). This approach can help you manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings while focusing on recovery. They prescribe FDA approved medications including Suboxone, Brixadi, Sublocade and Vivitrol. You’ll also participate in expert backed approaches such as group and individual therapy to understand and address the underlying causes of addiction.
Immediate Medication Access
One unique thing that caught my eye was their immediate medication access program. They strive to break treatment barriers, providing rapid low barrier engagement in treatment for underserved populations. You can access same day or next business day medical consultations for MAT with in person and telehealth options available.
Tobacco Recovery Program
I also think it's beneficial that they have a smoking cessation program. While often overlooked nicotine addiction can be just as harmful as other substances. You can access onsite or remote recovery sessions weekly. You'll participate in tailored counseling with access to medical professionals for guidance and customized care.
Certified Recovery Specialists
Lastly, I like that they offer certified recovery specialist support. These professionals have personal experience in addiction and can help you access resources to fuel your journey. They offer mentoring and can help you find a sponsor as well as connect you with peer support meetings, transportation and other essential services.
