Inter Care Manhattan

In New York, INTER-CARE is a privately owned outpatient rehab that's been treating substance use since 1989. They take people and families, and the program runs at two New York sites, one in Manhattan and one in Westchester, so you can weigh the trip to each.

The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services licenses it.

Day and Evening Schedules

You can do outpatient rehab on a day or evening schedule at either site. Licensed mental health professionals deliver cognitive behavioral therapy and DBT (a form of talk therapy).

If a job is the worry, an evening schedule comes after the workday, and you'll go home after the visit. INTER-CARE's intensive outpatient track meets four days a week, and the early recovery track meets two, in person or by virtual visit.

They're an in-network partner for most major medical insurers. Vivitrol and Naltrexone are the medications used for medication assisted therapy, and they come through the psychiatric medical department.
