About Acacia Network Greenhope Services for Women
Greenhope Services for Women, an Acacia Network affiliate licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports, provides residential substance use disorder treatment for adult women in East Harlem.
The program serves women with co-occurring mental health needs, transitional age young adults and mothers, using cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, the Matrix Model and trauma related counseling.
Founded in 1975 and rooted in gender responsive, client centered care, Greenhope meets women where they are while addressing recovery, family and healing together.
Gender Responsive Residential Recovery
Greenhope's core focus is residential and long term residential treatment tailored to adult women navigating substance use, trauma and life challenges.
The program offers comprehensive assessments, counseling and relapse prevention support, peer support and case management within a trauma informed setting.
In treatment, women engage in evidence based approaches like motivational interviewing and contingency management, anger management and 12 step facilitation.
Medication options, including naltrexone and support for alcohol use disorder, address both root causes and daily recovery needs, with aftercare and discharge planning guiding lasting change.
Care Built for Families
Greenhope's mother child program supports pregnant individuals, mothers parenting children up to age five and women working toward family reunification.
Residential beds for children, on site child care and parenting classes allow moms to recover without being separated from their kids. The program also supports women referred through the courts, child welfare and parole or probation.
Whole Person Support
Greenhope offers residential care at its East Harlem location, with telehealth therapy and transportation assistance available. The program extends beyond clinical treatment with vocational, educational and benefits enrollment services.
Greenhope accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicaid pending status, with enrollment assistance available.
