- When someone in Alaska stops drinking after heavy use, withdrawal can turn dangerous without support.
- Inpatient / residential
- Inpatient treatment gives a person distance from the everyday triggers and stress that can make recovery harder at home.
- Outpatient
- When you choose outpatient care, the week brings scheduled sessions and leaves plenty of time for the rest of daily life.
- Co-occurring disorders
- Someone living with a substance use disorder alongside a mental health condition may have medication management as part of care. It is handled alongside therapy so both conditions receive attention at the same time.
