About Detroit Recovery Project Eastside Health and Wellness Recovery Resource Center
Since 2005, Detroit Recovery Project - Eastside Health and Wellness Recovery Resource Center has been providing proven, holistic addiction treatments to the Detroit, Michigan community. They focus on treating the whole person by integrating primary medical and behavioral healthcare. Clients can access outpatient services for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their five key pillars for care are health and wellness, spirituality, employment/education, family and recovery support.
Their colorful, single-story Eastside clinic is beautifully maintained. It’s located in Greenfield Park. It has a secure parking lot and is easy to get to using public transit. It’s also located within steps of multiple bus routes.
Therapy in Multiple Languages
Detroit Recovery Project employees are experienced in offering a variety of therapeutic approaches to recovery. They use cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy methods. These techniques help clients learn coping skills and work through their thoughts and emotions.
I like that they offer free language assistance. If you or your loved one needs help communicating in a different language, they will make it happen. I appreciate that they ensure everyone can access their services without barriers. These services include ASL for the hearing impaired.
Medications for Opioid Use Disorder in Detroit
Their medications for opioid use disorder program gives outpatient clients access to FDA-approved medication to treat opioid addiction. This is a proven way to support long-term recovery.
Peer Support
Another supportive service offered by Detroit Recovery Project is their peer recovery program. You’ll be connected with an individual who has traveled successfully through their own recovery journey. These peer recovery specialists offer support, understanding and guidance and will walk with you as you navigate the challenges of recovery and ongoing sobriety.
