About Denver Women’s Recovery

Located in Denver, Colorado, Women's Recovery is an addiction treatment center that dedicates itself exclusively to women and gives them a large range of treatment options in the area, both in person and virtually, to accommodate their diverse needs.

Traditional Treatment Programs with Holistic Therapies

Their levels of care include an intensive outpatient program with morning and evening sessions as well as a sober living program that offers recovery housing to women who are transitioning from inpatient treatment and seeking more help. They also offer trauma treatment through services like cognitive behavioral therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.

I appreciate that this is also a dual diagnosis center and treats both substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. I like that they incorporate mindfulness practices too, infusing services like yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises to heal every aspect of your mind.

I checked to see what some of the past clients had to say and found so many great things. One woman said that it was an amazing program with an even more amazing counseling staff. Another said that they offered top-notch clinical work, great family programming, and a dedicated and diligent staff.

Mothers in Recovery

They offer something here called Love and Logic parenting integration, which is meant to help mothers in recovery. It helps them rebuild relationships with their children while maintaining boundaries and emotional regulation. Also, their virtual trauma treatment can help those who are in rural areas and can't get help in person because they don't have transportation or are encountering some other problem.

Levels of care

Outpatient
If you need more independence than fuller programs offer, outpatient treatment keeps care to a lighter, scheduled load.
Aftercare support
Aftercare support in Colorado gives early recovery a steady base, with relapse prevention as one of its main aims. Regular contact and honest conversation help a person spot warning signs early.
Co-occurring disorders
Care looks at how a substance use disorder and a mental health condition overlap for each person. Depression, anxiety, trauma or PTSD, and bipolar disorder are common pairings seen together.
Sober living
When inpatient care ends, a sober living home can serve as a bridge to living independently again.
