About Community Psychiatric Institute
Community Psychiatric Institute is an outpatient addiction treatment center providing substance use disorder and behavioral health care for adults.
This nonprofit agency has served the community since 1972 and offers both outpatient and intensive outpatient programs.
Its person centered approach combines evidence based methods with integrated support for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Compassionate Medication Monitoring
Treatment typically begins with an intake assessment that includes a substance use evaluation and urine drug test, program orientation and level of care determination.
Adults may enter the outpatient program, featuring weekly counseling, or the intensive outpatient program, which includes a three hour group block at least three days per week plus weekly individual sessions.
Clients can expect cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and the matrix model, anger management and family counseling.
The program promotes abstinence while following a harm reduction model, with on site psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring for those with dual diagnosis needs.
