About Centre Fargo Male Transitional Facility
Centre Fargo Male Transitional Facility is a nonprofit agency serving Fargo, North Dakota, that assists the courts and other public agencies in community based mental health and addiction treatment services. Treatment through Centre Fargo aims to be cost-effective and serve as an adjunct to parole and probation supervision. These rehab services are specialized and give the state an opportunity to rehabilitate individuals outside of prisons and institutions. The male transitional facility provides a sober living environment and support programs for men who are within two years of their parole eligibility date.
Outpatient Treatment or Men in Transition
Upon enrolling at Centre Fargo, you’ll complete an assessment and you’ll be given an individualized treatment plan. The length of stay at this facility varies depending on your personal needs. While on site, you’ll participate in outpatient addiction treatment, individual counseling, and therapy groups. A variety of groups exist to meet several needs including living skills, cognitive restructuring, employment skills, and money management. You’ll also receive case management and drug testing. Workshops may take place with topics like cultural diversity.
Transition from Incarceration
This sober living environment allows alternatives to direct release from prison. This scenario presents the opportunities of full time employment, formal education, counseling, involvement in community programs, and recreational activities, that you might not otherwise have the access to. While living at Centre Fargo, you’re expected to comply with facility rules and participate in programming or counseling. You’ll leave the facility prepared to handle your responsibilities in the community.
A more intensive reentry program is available for higher-risk offenders. This includes treatment, participation in AA or NA, community service, and educational and vocational training.
