About Campbell County Health Behavioral Health Services
The Behavioral Health Services Department is located on the fifth floor of Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming. They treat clients with behavioral disorders, mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
The hospital accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and many other types of insurance. A hospital financial assistance program is available to eligible clients regardless of insurance status. The department is CARF accredited.
Detoxification and Screening Processes
Detoxification services are administered in the inpatient unit of the hospital. Hospital health care providers provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) when needed.
An initial screening will include an addiction severity index assessment (ASI) and a substance use assessment. The results of these assessments will determine your individualized treatment plan.
Inpatient Services for Clients with Acute Symptoms
An inpatient unit within the hospital is available for clients 13 years and older who require acute care. Phone calls can be made during designated times and daily visitation from loved ones is allowed. Mobile phones are not permitted.
During your free time you can work with arts and craft supplies, watch television, and play games. You will participate in different types of therapy groups and work with your social worker/therapist to establish and implement a treatment plan.
Outpatient Groups and Other Services
Dialectical behavioral therapy group consists of seven to nine week sessions that assist you in learning how to control intense emotions, have healthy interactions with other people, and endure distress in a more healthy way. Clients 13 and older can attend the groups and may be able to attend via telehealth.
Some appointments can be virtual via telehealth on your smartphone, laptop, or tablet. Psychiatric visits may be done via telepsych but require the client to be in the facility with a nurse.
Other services include an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), relapse prevention program and medication management. Counseling is available for groups, couples, families, and individuals. Crisis services are available 24/7. You will receive referrals to community based support programs upon completion of treatment.
