About Board of Child Care
Everstand was formerly known as the Board of Child Care and is a CARF accredited youth and family serving organization providing residential care and behavioral health services in Baltimore, Maryland.
The organization works with children and adolescents including youth with trauma backgrounds and acute behavioral health needs as well as high acuity vulnerabilities and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Trauma and Substance Use Treatment
Everstand's core focus is residential and behavioral health care for children and adolescents through programs like the Baltimore Residential Program, Gateway Group Home, and Strawbridge School.
Each young person receives an customized treatment plan that can integrate medical and behavioral health including substance use treatment, education, and life skills support.
Care is grounded in a trauma informed client first methodology that addresses the underlying roots of behavioral and emotional challenges.
Specialty residential settings also serve youth with complex needs including survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
Collaborative Problem Solving Programs
Beyond residential care Everstand offers outpatient mental health services including counseling, psychiatric care with medication management, and diagnostic assessments.
Approaches include trauma focused treatment and Motivational Interviewing, SBIRT and The Seven Challenges, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Botvin Life Skills supported by case management and care coordination.
