About Atlanta Mission The Shepherds Inn
Atlanta Mission The Shepherd's Inn is a faith based men's facility in downtown Atlanta serving single adult men experiencing homelessness.
The program combines emergency shelter with recovery oriented support, including one on one counseling, clinical groups, process groups and life skills classes for men working toward sobriety and independent living.
With capacity for up to 450 men daily, The Shepherd's Inn meets people where they are and helps them rebuild stability through structured, individualized care.
Recovery and Stability for Men Experiencing Homelessness
The Shepherd's Inn pairs basic needs support with recovery focused programming for men age 18 and older who are fully detoxified and ready to make progress.
As part of Atlanta Mission, a longstanding homelessness services organization, the program offers both inpatient and outpatient levels of care alongside shelter and support services.
Residents take part in one on one counseling, clinical and process groups, recovery education and life skills classes built around personalized 90 day goals.
With biweekly staff follow up and the option to extend when progress is documented, the program addresses both immediate needs and the deeper challenges behind long term substance use.
Success stories from former residents reflect real transformation and renewed independence.
Building Skills and a Path Forward
Beyond recovery support, The Shepherd's Inn emphasizes practical readiness for independent living through vocational training, job attainment support, educational services and spiritual care.
Men who complete Make Progress services may transition to Fuqua Hall, Atlanta Mission's downtown transitional housing program, continuing their journey toward lasting stability.
