About Atlanta Mission The Potters House

Atlanta Mission's Potter's House is a residential substance use rehab in Jefferson, Georgia helping men struggling with addiction.

The Christian based program combines trauma informed counseling, group therapy, 12 Step coaching, and peer support.

A feature that sets it apart is the 12 month structure that's built around a working farm.

At the center recovery, vocational preparation and staged reentry occur across defined phases.

A Farm Program

The Potter's House program runs for approximately a full year on a private 550 acre farmland campus in Northeast Georgia.

The idea is to use distance from prior triggers as a core part of its structure.

You arrive having done through detox since the program is non medical and provides no medication, medical or dental care.

Your daily life on the farm pairs clinical counseling and group therapy with real work assignments in landscaping, kitchen, housekeeping, thrift and office roles.

This model fits people who can commit to a year of immersive and faith centered community living and is willing to work as part of recovery.

It's not a fit for anyone needing medically supervised detox or ongoing medication support.

Reentry Preparation and Transitional Living

Potter's House builds practical reentry into the program rather than leaving it for after discharge.

You can pursue a GED through Lanier Technical School, complete financial literacy and job coaching and access periodic forklift certification.

After the residential phase transitional living in Shuford Hall restores personal technology access and eligibility for off campus family passes begins around month five.

This staged return matters for people rebuilding their independence and employment from the ground up.

Their program is free for people without income.
