Arbor Unit Hospital Based Detox

Detox at HRI Hospital happens on the Arbor Unit.

This is a dedicated unit for patients with dual psychiatric and substance use disorders inside a psychiatric hospital  where medication management and psychiatric care continue alongside withdrawal management.

Conditions like depression and bipolar disorder are treated concurrently.

The hospital also runs specialized units that include the Brook geriatric unit and the Duxbury Acute Stabilization Unit plus a busy electroconvulsive therapy service for patients whose conditions warrant it.

The Duxbury Acute Stabilization Unit is its only unlocked unit.
