About Franciscan Childrens
Franciscan Children’s Health at 30 Warren Street in Boston, Massachusetts brings medical and mental health together to help treat the whole patient no matter how young they may be. Their inpatient psychiatric crisis unit evaluates a patient’s mental health and provides treatment to children as young as three years old and up to the age of nineteen.
They treat children and youth and provide counseling to families on an outpatient basis. They have some very cool groups to help children express themselves and develop various life skills. This includes a Lego-based Social Skills Group.
Comprehensive Evaluations
They have neuropsychological, developmental and psychological evaluations and assessments as well as counseling and treatment programs from occasional check in appointments to intensive outpatient and inpatient programs.
Youth with mental health and behavioral issues, including alcohol and drug abuse, can access treatment including a child psychiatrist, mental health professionals, in-home services, and even summer camps.
Community Programs
Franciscan Children’s Health empowers the community by providing education and developing skills in the adults within the community, like parents, teachers, and support staff. They then know how to empower children and youth to set positive goals and realize their potential.
It Takes a Village
It is true that it takes a village to raise a child and this organization offers support to parents and guardians so they can provide an environment everyone can thrive in. Individual, family, and group therapy with case management and community resources are offered to help families live their best lives.
Youth can receive support in their school to keep them on the right track, with a psychiatrist available to manage any medications or medical interventions required for their well being.
This program is covered by most health insurance plans, including State and Federal health insurance and child mental health initiatives.
