Long Term Residential Recovery
Akeela House provides an immersive, live on site residential experience designed for adults who benefit from structured support.
As part of the broader Akeela behavioral health network, the program combines clinical assessment at entry and therapy, group sessions and skill building within a therapeutic community model.
Daily life follows a predictable routine of therapy, groups and meals, rest and time to practice new skills.
Treatment is trauma informed and includes psychoeducational classes on addiction, recovery and relapse prevention, helping clients address the root causes of substance use while preparing for step down care through early discharge planning.
Integrated Dual Diagnosis Support
Because most Akeela House clients are dually diagnosed, the program builds co-occurring mental health treatment directly into care.
Clients receive psychiatric support when needed, peer support and family therapy where appropriate, ensuring both substance use and underlying mental health concerns are treated together.

Akeela House is an in person residential program located on Bering Street in Anchorage, serving adults across Alaska as part of a wider recovery continuum.
The program accepts Medicaid and TRICARE, private insurance and self pay, with financing, financial assistance and sliding scale options available.
