About Adult Well Being Services
Adult Well Being Services is a CARF accredited human services organization providing integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment across Metro Detroit.
Serving adults and adolescents, children and families, AWBS offers outpatient therapy, psychiatry and case management, peer support and community based care. With over 70 years of community presence, AWBS delivers person centered treatment designed to meet you where you are and build stability in everyday life.
Integrated Treatment in Detroit
AWBS specializes in wraparound care that addresses mental health and substance use together recognizing how often the two intersect. Services include individual and group therapy and medication management, family counseling and peer support for adults struggling with anxiety and depression, trauma and misuse of alcohol, illicit drugs or prescription medications.
Treatment blends evidence based practices with practical support helping you uncover root causes while building day to day coping skills. Sessions may take place in the office, in your home or out in the community ensuring care fits your schedule and needs. For higher acuity clients, AWBS offers assertive community treatment, a 24/7 team based model that supports community stability and reduces hospitalizations.
Trauma Recovery
AWBS offers structured trauma focused group therapy using the trauma recovery and empowerment model, with dedicated tracks for women, men and transgender individuals. These psychoeducational groups help participants process trauma, build empowerment and develop peer connections in a safe and affirming environment.

AWBS serves clients across Wayne and Macomb counties, with its main office located at 1423 Field Street in Detroit. The organization is CARF accredited and staffed by licensed professionals with extensive training in mental health and addiction care.
