About Active Recovery Shreveport
Active Recovery Shreveport provides substance abuse recovery in Shreveport, Louisiana for adults and young adults throughout the region. The program offers structured outpatient care, including relapse prevention phases that can extend up to a year, designed to support long-term recovery from substance use disorders. Active Recovery uses a non-12-step approach rooted in 10 Core Concepts and therapy to address addiction, trauma and co-occurring challenges.
Intensive Treatment Model
Clients typically begin with Intensive Outpatient Programming attending scheduled group sessions three times per week. From there, individuals progress through Phase 2 relapse prevention (twice weekly for six weeks) and Phase 3 (once weekly for four weeks), building skills and community support as they transition back to daily life.
Support for Sustained Sobriety
Treatment includes individual counseling, group therapy, family and couples counseling and specialized trauma-focused services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Active Recovery integrates CBT, DBT, REBT and motivational interviewing, and supports medication assisted treatment with naltrexone, Vivitrol and Sublocade to reduce drug cravings and lessen withdrawal symptoms.
Clients can also access court-ordered programs including DWI First Offenders classes and batterer intervention programming.
