What is Treated and How It’s Done – The NC Way
Absolute Advocacy offers different levels of treatment for each individual's unique legal situation. The Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School program is only for first-time offenders and includes a 16-hour course for those who don’t have a substance abuse diagnosis and whose BAC is under 0.15%. This short-term outpatient program lasts about 30 days and requires a minimum of 30-39 hours over 30 days while long-term outpatient lasts about 60 days with a minimum of 40 hours of lessons.
For those with more acute symptoms, they offer a daytime intensive outpatient plan that requires a minimum of 90 hours and typically lasts about 90 days. If needed, Absolute Advocacy can refer patients into residential care for up to 90 days through their treatment center partnerships.
Beyond the Average DWI Program
A great feature at Absolute Advocacy is their virtue DWI assessment and classes which make their programs accessible statewide, including evenings and weekends. Young adults and teens can also receive counseling for early intervention on issues like adjustment disorders and bullying.
To stay on the right track after treatment, you can enroll in aftercare that include ongoing counseling sessions, and community resource referrals. To provide accountability and monitor sobriety, they offer regular drug screenings.
