About Absolute Advocacy
In Charlotte, Absolute Advocacy is an addiction treatment center that offers DWI assessments, DWI classes and outpatient substance use care. Medical detox isn't offered here, and neither is residential treatment. You'll need a substance use diagnosis or a referral to get in, and the DWI side covers North Carolina drivers plus out of state drivers whose DWI happened in North Carolina.
Intensive Outpatient Hours
Clients should plan on about three hours a day, three days a week, in Absolute Advocacy's substance abuse intensive outpatient program. That intensive outpatient program length means that you go home the same day rather than staying overnight. The program has a 90 hour minimum, and they also offer it online.
Charlotte Metro Service Area
Absolute Advocacy serves the Charlotte metro area and Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Union, Rowan, Gaston, Iredell and Stanley counties. DWI assessments and classes are fully online across North Carolina, so you can complete them from anywhere in the state. The space provides DWI services in English and Spanish.
They also run drug education classes, and drug screens use a 12 panel urine test with a preliminary result right away.

- Inpatient / residential
- Inpatient care creates real distance from the stress and triggers of everyday life. With that space in place, a person can give full attention to recovery.

- Outpatient substance abuse groups give clients time with a counselor to talk through drug and alcohol concerns in an informal, nonjudgmental setting.
