Wheeler Health – Hartford Family Health and Wellness Center is a community based outpatient health center in Hartford, Connecticut offering integrated addiction treatment and behavioral health with primary care.
The team serves all ages with substance use services including a dedicated Intensive Outpatient Program for adult men. Wheeler's whole person philosophy brings medical, behavioral, and recovery support together under one roof making it easier for patients to get comprehensive care in one trusted place.
Medication Assisted Recovery and Peer Support
Wheeler's core addiction services combine outpatient counseling with Medication Assisted Treatment, including Suboxone (buprenorphine) and Vivitrol (naltrexone). Patients can access therapy alongside peer support and care coordination, naloxone access, and crisis help.
The Hartford location also offers a substance use IOP for adult men on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The staff are known for their friendliness, communication, and willingness to support diverse needs with one client stating they were "overall happy I chose Wheeler."
