About Wayside Family Treatment Center
Wayside Family Treatment Center is a residential substance use treatment program for women who are pregnant or parenting young children in Minneapolis.
The program offers residential and co-occurring care for substance use disorders and mental health concerns supporting mothers alongside their children.
As a Twin Cities provider offering residential treatment for women with their children in residence Wayside is dedicated to helping families heal together and break the cycle of addiction and trauma.
Recovery for Mothers and Children
Wayside's core focus is keeping mothers and children together during recovery, allowing women to bring up to three children ages birth to 11 into residential treatment.
The program supports mothers with active Child Protection Services cases and works actively toward family reunification.
Care blends addiction treatment with onsite case management, peer support, psychiatric services and medication assisted treatment.
Treatment is trauma-informed addressing both the mother's recovery and the well-being of her children.
Pregnancy Support and Family Healing
Wayside welcomes pregnant women with pregnancy and delivery support from staff trained as certified doulas.
Parenting education and family counseling are central to care and children can access developmental assessments, mental health services and early intervention referrals.
