About UPO Comprehensive Treatment Center
Uniting People with Opportunities, better known as UPO has a Comprehensive Treatment Center in Washington, DC. Here, they provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) and other outpatient addiction treatment services to the local community.
Opioid Replacement Therapy
Medication assisted treatment is available here with methadone. This program has a capacity for 450 clients and provides medication and medical health management. This includes services like annual physical examinations and nursing consults when needed. There are educational workshops as well asl individual, family, and group therapy programming.
Extended Outpatient Hours
This facility also has an outpatient program for adults. I noticed that they also offer extended hours on Saturdays in case you need to come in over the weekend for extra support.
No Insurance, No Problem
The District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health has rules that say you must be 21 years old and a resident of the District of Columbia without insurance or with an insurance plan doesn’t cover treatment in order to become a client of UPO. No one will be turned away because of a lack of insurance. That is precisely whom they are here to serve.
