UK Psychiatric & Behavioral Health Care SMART Clinic is an addiction treatment program offering integrated care for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The program includes specific treatment for opioid use disorder and psychiatric services under one roof. With a specialized SMART Parenting Track for mothers in recovery the clinic takes a trauma-informed, whole-person approach to treatment.
Outpatient Addiction Treatment
Clients begin with an assessment and can start outpatient services without a referral. The program addresses alcohol use disorder, opioid use disorder and dependence on benzodiazepines, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamines, and other substances, while also treating co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorder.
Supporting Lasting Sobriety
Medication assisted treatment is available using options such as Vivitrol and Suboxone to help relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. Guests can focus on their recovery without being distracted.
Treatment includes weekly group therapy, individual counseling, and medication management . Participants also receive psychiatric care and primary medical services, including hepatitis C screening and treatment, and are encouraged to engage in recovery activities outside of clinic visits to support long-term sobriety.
Therapy and counseling sessions often address past issues that led to addiction or substance use. Guests can also develop healthier coping skills for stress and address unhealthy thought patterns. The combined treatment methods help clients have the resources to overcome addiction and prevent future relapse.
