About Master Center for Addiction Medicine Glen Allen
The Master Center for Addiction Medicine is an organization that provides physician led, outpatient addiction treatment programs. The organization has locations throughout Virginia, including the Glen Allen facility, which is only 15 miles from Richmond.
It’s also convenient to the notable Fan District with its charming coffee shops, historic buildings, and beautiful Victorian neighborhood. You can use most major insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, to pay for services.
Evidence Based Therapies for Sustained Recovery
The treatment team uses evidence based therapies to equip you with the tools you need to sustain your recovery after treatment. The team uses advanced toxicology tests, which help improve treatment outcomes by giving clinicians accurate and timely data about your substance use.
Clients learn about the disease of addiction and its chronic nature. You’ll create your own warning system to serve as a preventative tool against relapse. This includes self awareness practices, tools to track warning signs, and relapse prevention plans.
The group is experienced and effective in assisting relapse patients through intervention skills such as problem solving and motivational interviewing. You’ll have regular goal setting sessions and relapse risk assessments to help you avoid future relapse.
Family and Friends Treatment Program
Families often feel left out of the process when a loved one seeks treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. The treatment center offers special services designed for friends and families of individuals with substance use disorder (SUD).
The program provides curated resources and materials to help families and friends better understand the nature of addiction, the treatment process, recovery, and the impact on families and friends. You’ll connect with others who understand and relate to your experience and can point you to support groups.
There’s also a private series of classes to help you better understand and support your loved one in recovery. This is an internet series of four classes conducted by a trained substance abuse counselor.
