About The Ridge Behavioral Health System
The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed behavioral health hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, providing psychiatric and substance use disorder care for children, adolescents and adults.
Through the Ridge Recovery Center, adults can access medically supervised detox, inpatient rehabilitation, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, with a strong focus on co-occurring mental health and addiction concerns.
The Ridge aims to deliver care in a healing environment grounded in security, confidentiality, dignity and respect.
Supervised Adult Detox for Alcohol and SUD
The Ridge Recovery Center offers a full continuum of adult substance use care, beginning with medically supervised detox for alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids and other substances. Inpatient rehabilitation follows detox, with structured step-down options into PHP and IOP for ongoing support.
The program is built on Recovery Dynamics, a goal-oriented 12-step-based clinical framework and incorporates individualized treatment plans, group and family therapy, REBT, relapse prevention, coping skills and substance use education.
On-site AA and NA meetings further reinforce long-term recovery.
Integrated Co-Occurring Disorder Care
Because the Ridge Recovery Center sits within a full psychiatric hospital, adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders can receive integrated care under one roof.
Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, CBT, DBT and the Matrix Model, plus medication-assisted detox using buprenorphine when clinically appropriate.
Admissions and Insurance Information
The Ridge serves patients in person at its Lexington hospital campus on Rio Dosa Drive and adult outpatient location on Prosperous Place, with telepsychiatry assessments available 24/7.
