Hope House’s Next Step Supportive Living facility is an addiction and mental health program that’s dedicated to supporting women in recovery in and around Albany, New York. It’s by the Hudson Riverfront and other local attractions.

Clients can pay for the facility’s services though Medicaid coverage, private health insurance benefits, or self pay options. Clients who are paying on their own can apply for a discount based on their income level. The facility also accepts government funding for their substance use programs.

Empowering Women in Albany County Since 1975

This program primarily offers safe, comfortable supportive living opportunities for women who are 18 years old or older. The typical client will remain in the program for around nine to fifteen months.

During their stay, women are offered a supportive environment free of addictive substances. Clients will receive case management services, outpatient care, and peer support.

One thing I like about this facility is that it offers support for women who need to enter or return to the job market. Case managers can also help clients with applying for rental subsidies.

Another stand out feature of this Albany County treatment center is that it serves a diverse range of women. Clients with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders, pregnant women, individuals referred from the justice system, LGBTQ+ clients, and women who’ve endured trauma are all empowered at this addiction treatment center.

I love that the facility also provides an on site nursery for mothers.
