About Teen Challenge of the Dakotas
Teen Challenge of the Dakotas is a rehab center in Brookings, South Dakota. It’s a Christ-centered program for adult men 18 and older. The stay is 14 months, and you live there rather than going home each evening.
Brookings Campus and Downtown
Teen Challenge runs those months in five phases, and the first eight months are induction and training. You spend them on group studies, work study and personal studies. Staff serve as mentors and advisers.
Re-entry is the last six months, and it’s held at a renovated downtown site in Brookings, South Dakota. In that phase the program helps with a GED and full-time work.
There’s also the Home Again Thrift Store. It opens Saturdays for the community, and sales support the program. Adult & Teen Challenge USA has over 200 residential programs throughout the United States, and this center is one of them.
