About Adult and Teen Challenge Greater Boston
Adult and Teen Challenge is a long-term, faith-based addiction treatment center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The center offers residential substance use recovery for men. Located in Worcester's Piedmont neighborhood, the program combines biblically centered recovery with clinical counseling, life coaching and vocational training.
Its mission centers on supporting whole-person restoration through structured care, education and spiritual growth.
Long-Term Residential Programming
Men typically begin with an intake and assessment before entering the residential program, which runs approximately 10 to 12 months with possible 3 to 6 month extensions.
This extended timeframe is designed to support lasting change from alcohol, opioid and other substance use challenges.
It also provides the time for guests to focus on their recovery journey without outside distractions hinder the treatment process.
Engaging Treatment Options
Within the program, residents engage in clinical counseling, recovery education and life coaching, along with apprenticeship tracks in carpentry, culinary arts, gardening and office administration.
These services provide the practices that help residents integrate into their communities as independent and productive members.
Support for co-occurring disorders and aftercare planning helps men transition back into the community with stronger life skills and continued recovery support.
