About Substance Abuse Center Of Kansas (SACK)
Substance Abuse Center of Kansas (SACK) is a Wichita-based facility providing substance use prevention, treatment and case management services to adults across Kansas.
The organization offers a continuum of care that includes assessments, sobering services, peer support and court-related evaluations.
SACK emphasizes consumer choice and supports multiple pathways to recovery, blending professional clinical care with community-based peer connection.
Outpatient Addiction Recovery
SACK's CrossOver Recovery Center delivers outpatient and intensive outpatient services for Kansas residents working toward lasting sobriety.
Eligible clients complete an assessment and demonstrate willingness to remain sober as part of their admission.
Treatment includes therapy, educational lectures, family groups and employment groups built around individualized treatment plans.
Daily peer support groups and public AA meetings create a safe, supportive environment where clients can connect with mentors and sober allies throughout early recovery.
Detox, Sobering, and Court-Related Services
SACK operates a Wichita detox and sobering unit serving adults age 18 and older, with detox stays typically lasting three to five days and sobering stays up to 23 hours.
Services include withdrawal monitoring, relapse-trigger planning, individualized discharge planning, aftercare arrangement and referrals for medical care.
Court evaluations, assessments and case consultations are also available for justice-involved clients.
