About Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health
Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health provides a behavioral health and addiction treatment program on the Fredericksburg, Virginia campus of HCA Virginia's 133-bed acute care hospital.
The program serves adults 18 and older with inpatient mental health care, medically supported detox and substance use treatment, including support for co-occurring disorders, trauma histories and military-connected populations.
Care here centers on stabilization, safety, symptom reduction, and empowering patients to take the next step in recovery with confidence.
Hospital-Based Inpatient Detox and Behavioral Health
The core of the program is inpatient behavioral health and detox delivered within a full-service hospital, offering stronger medical backup than a typical standalone rehab.
Detox support is available for substances including opioids and alcohol, with medication-based options such as buprenorphine, naltrexone, clonidine and nicotine replacement.
Treatment combines stabilization with approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention and 12-step support.
Patients also receive therapy, substance use education, overdose prevention and naloxone education, case management and discharge planning to outpatient providers.
Trauma-Informed Care for Veterans
The program supports service members, veterans, military families, seniors and pregnant or postpartum adults, along with individuals navigating past trauma, sexual abuse, or domestic violence.
Trauma-focused counseling, anger management support and care for co-occurring mental health disorders are integrated into the treatment plan.
Services include telemedicine visits to support continued care.
