About Space Coast Recovery

Space Coast Recovery provides substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment for adults in Cocoa, Florida. They also have a residential program for men only. Space Coast does not accept health insurance. All programs include a sliding scale fee for self-pay.
Working on Core Values
One of the areas they focus on is changing a person’s core values, which include their feelings, beliefs and attitudes related to their circumstances. The team helps them understand the effects of their actions regarding substance use. They use group therapy to address life skills and create values that embrace healthy changes and increase communication.
Relapse prevention is a primary area of treatment. Groups interact and work on methods for changing negative behaviors and avoiding substance use triggers after leaving the program.
Life Skills Management
The programs include accountability and life skills management. They work with clients on decision-making, solving problems, developing financial discipline, being more responsible, managing stress, conflict resolution and healthy grieving. These areas can help set guests up for successful, long-term sobriety.
HIV Education
Another unique program component is HIV education, which covers the negative consequences associated with the disease and opportunities to discuss concerns regarding HIV/AIDS. Clients can also request an onsite HIV test.
