About Sobriety House
Sobriety House is a CARF accredited residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment center for adult men in Detroit, Michigan. Established in 1964, the program offers evidence based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, individual counseling and group therapy, family therapy and trauma counseling for men navigating addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Sobriety House delivers person centered care focused on dignity and respect, relapse prevention and long term recovery.
Men's Only Addiction Treatment
Sobriety House is dedicated exclusively to the rehab of adult men, providing a structured environment that addresses substance use disorder, alcohol dependency and co-occurring behavioral health concerns.
With nearly 60 years of service in Detroit, the program combines clinical therapy with holistic wraparound supports including case management, recovery coaching and 12 step meetings, recreational therapy and work therapy.
Treatment integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to help men identify triggers, manage cravings and build coping skills for sustainable sobriety. Sessions address underlying trauma and mental health conditions alongside addiction, with a relapse prevention orientation that emphasizes real world readiness and peer community connection.

Sobriety House welcomes walk ins around the clock at its West Grand Boulevard location in Detroit, with in person residential and outpatient services for adult men. The program is CARF accredited and has served the Detroit community since 1964.
Payment options include Medicaid and private insurance, sliding scale assistance and financial aid for qualifying individuals.
