About Shepherd’s House
Shepherd's House is a veteran-focused sober living and transitional recovery program in Fort Wayne, Indiana supporting men and women veterans working toward sobriety, stability and self-sufficiency.
The program blends faith-based support with clinical programming for veterans facing substance use, PTSD and co-occurring mental health concerns.
Shepherd's House combines Christian spiritual counseling, evidence-based care and practical reintegration services in a single recovery community.
Recovery Programming for Veterans
Veterans typically enter through an intake and treatment planning process that places them into transitional living with structured recovery support.
The program is designed as a long-term option, often around 12 months, allowing time for healing, accountability and rebuilding life skills.
Guests have the necessary time to reflect and work on their sobriety without outside distractions that can hinder the treatment process.
Traditional and Holistic Therapies
Residents engage in clinical programming, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), music therapy, relapse prevention counseling, trauma recovery meetings, and 12 Step and AA groups.
These methods may help address the root causes of substance use and help guests develop healthier skills for continued recovery.
Personalized case management, education and referrals for primary care and mental health services round out the experience.
