About Serenity Inns
Serenity Inns is a nonprofit, faith rooted organization in Milwaukee providing a complete continuum of care for men seeking recovery from substance use disorder. Services span from low-threshold harm reduction and residential treatment to transitional living and long-term alumni housing. Serenity Inns combines evidence based clinical care with holistic wellness programming that addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, meeting men where they are and walking alongside them through every stage of recovery.
Comprehensive Substance Use Disorder Treatment for Men
Serenity Inns specializes in alcohol and drug addiction recovery, including opioid use disorder, with a continuum designed to remove barriers and build community accountability. The residential treatment program integrates group and individual therapy sessions, supported by a medical director, clinical director and certified counselors, including leadership from Kenneth Ginlack, LCSW, CSAC, ICS, and Jason Dobson, MBA, CSAC.
Treatment blends evidence based approaches with holistic wellness pillars like fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and spiritual growth. Sessions focus on uncovering root causes, developing coping skills and preparing for independent living. Transitional living includes a nightly Dinner Fellowship that strengthens peer support, and the Alumni House offers up to 12 months of sober housing to sustain recovery momentum.
Harm Reduction and Low Barrier Access
Serenity Inns operates a Drop In Clinic that provides harm reduction-oriented support for men facing significant barriers such as homelessness or incarceration history. The clinic offers accessible, judgment-free entry into recovery services regardless of insurance status, serving as a pathway to more intensive treatment when individuals are ready.
Getting Started with Serenity Inns
Serenity Inns serves men in person at its Milwaukee location on West Brown Street, with a newly expanded residential treatment facility opened in September 2024. The Drop In Clinic is accessible regardless of insurance status, with free and self pay options available.
