MAT in Dayton
Samaritan's core specialty is outpatient substance use treatment, with a particular focus on opioid use disorder through medication assisted treatment. The program uses buprenorphine and naltrexone, paired with required participation in counseling to support whole person recovery.
Treatment blends individual, group and family sessions with case management, care coordination and peer support. Clients work on the underlying drivers of substance use while building practical coping skills, accountability and a steady support network throughout the recovery process.
Overdose Prevention
Beyond clinical treatment, Samaritan offers Project DAWN, an overdose education and naloxone distribution program. Participants can access free Narcan kits along with online or in person training, adding a practical harm reduction layer that complements counseling and MAT services.
